Guilt: A Love Story is a fearless, darkly funny solo work that explores the emotional terrain of love, desire, and responsibility in the aftermath of a life-altering choice.

Created and performed by Diane Flacks, the piece unfolds as an intimate, confessional journey through the contradictions of midlife transformation: the exhilaration of new love colliding with the rupture of family, and the persistent, shape-shifting presence of guilt. With candour and wit, Flacks examines the tension between self-fulfillment and the impact of our choices on those we love most, asking what it means to pursue freedom while carrying the weight of consequence. 

Directed by Alisa Palmer, the production embraces a minimal theatrical language that foregrounds the performer’s voice and presence. The staging moves fluidly between humour and vulnerability, allowing the audience to experience the immediacy of thought, memory, and emotion as they unfold in real time.
